Creating Goals You Can Stick To

When it comes to goal setting, this is usually the easiest part. But following through and actually sticking with these, is where the real challenge is for most. If you’ve been struggling with sticking to your goals and making new sustainable healthy habits, below is a 3 STEP Guide you may find helpful.

Step #1: DECIDE what your goal/s will be(focus on 1-2 at a time as too many goals will overwhelm you and may cause you to burn out)

Step #2: Map out a STEP BY STEP plan on how you will get there.

For example, if one of your goals is: Tone oblique lines by the Summer

Write down 1-2 things you can do to achieve this:

1.Do oblique focused workouts at least 3x a week

2.Walk an extra 10 minutes each day

Step #3: Go to the VB METHOD workouts library and find which oblique workouts you will do and add these to your calendar(try to switch every 4-6 weeks).


Don’t try to sprint your way to progress. Instead of constantly having your eyes on the finish line(living in the future), embrace the journey–be present with it.

Sometimes having our eyes fixed on the reward can serve as a motivator and that’s okay but if you focus on enjoying the process, even the discomforts, this will make it easier to sustain once you achieve it.

The purpose of creating habits is to build a lifestyle. If the reward is your only motivator, once you achieve it, you will most likely give up and lose all your progress.
